He guys,

Any info on Serial # 86962 ?

Cannot seem to find anything...

Can't offer much, Eastern Aircraft built the FM-2 at Linden, NJ., production ended in May 45., #86962 was the 11th from last FM-2 built (#86973).

Just request a copy of the History Card for FM-2 #86962, it will show up at your door in a couple of weeks.

86962 was accepted on 31 August 1945 and put into storage at Tillamook until the following February. It then went to the Naval Air Technical Training Center at Pensacola, presumably as a ground instructional airframe, and was stricken on 28 February 1946.
