Does the sign behind Galland give any clue to where this photo was taken?

I've been trying to narrow down the location using the writing on the sign,may be a clue to the location and I can only make out.
"German Memorial Cemetery 1914-1918" 2569 Killed ? 33 Killed ?
Must have been on a visit to a WW1 memorial in an occupied country.

2569 in individual graves. 33 in (presumably) common graves.
