Unknown P-51 Nose Art
He guys...
This panel came off a wartime P-51... It almost looks like a unit insignia, as opposed to nose art... Any thoughts? TIA Mike |

Re: Unknown P-51 Nose Art
Hi Mike
Don Allen had painted a black panther and a fleur-de-lis on a Lt Audrey Stanhopes aircraft. Allen completed 39 designs on aircraft which included P47 and P-51. Maybe a clue here. KR Vince... |
Re: Unknown P-51 Nose Art
The 35th Fighter Bomber Squadron (Black Panthers) used the P-51 from 1946-1950. Looks like they used F-80 & F-86 in Korea.
