Reichsverteidigungs stripes on fighter aircraft

I just came across this document regarding the coloured tail bands used on Luftwaffe fighter aircraft towards the end of the war. The introduction of these markings is given at many different dates on the internet. The enclosed document is dated 16. December 1944 and, even as a transcript of a transcript, would give a good indication. The document was found the the Russian-German Project for digitalisation of records.

Thanks for that. The plan to introduce unit (optional) recognition markings for all Jagdgeschwader seems to arisen from a conference on 27 October 1944 and notification went out to various recipients (e.g. naval authorities in Norway) during December whereas the Waffen-SS in Hungary got the word in mid-January 1945. The text in your document seems to be the same as was sent to the Sea Defence Commander at Hammerfest from Armee Oberkommando Nord. I've attached my translation to this post.
