MrLion doesn't know the difference between a B-17 and a B-24. "The task was significantly difficult, but put in context of the war effort in general, pretty trivial. The P-51A had an Allison Engine had a Stromberg down-draft carburetor with the carburetor intake scoop above at the front of the cowling.
The P-51B-K used the Merlin had the Stromberg up-draft carburetor with the carburetor scoop just below the prop spinner. |
