He111 II/KG4 shot down 1 June 1941
 

Hi guys

In 'Air War over Yugoslavia, Greece and Crete' (page 401), Chris Shores wrote when referring to 1 June 1941:

"A He111 of II/KG4 had been briefed to fly a reconnaissance sortie to Alexandria. It failed to return, and two members of the crew who were subsequently picked up were under the impression that they had been shot down by AA fire."

I can't find any details of such a loss. Chris' co-author can't help either! Perhaps wrong unit? Wrong date?

Strangely, the loss is not mentioned in Chris' 'Mediterranean Air War'
