Ju-88 shot down/rammed 15.09.1942 Stalingrad

Hi guys,

Does anybody have more info about a Ju-88 shot down on 15 September 1942 at Stalingrad? Troops on the ground reported it was shot down by a Soviet plane at 1345 hours. However, upon checking Bergstrom's "Black Cross / Red Star", it appears the Ju-88 from III./KG76 was rammed.

Further details, especially if the shooting/ramming was fatal for the German crew, would be great.

Many thanks
Jason Mark

Hello,

At least for me, known the correct names are:
Ff Oblt. Karl-Hermann MILLAHN, *09.12.16 in Dassow/Mecklenburg, RK (29.02.44), DKiG (13.08.42), EP (15.06.42), +375 ff., survived the war.
Bs Flg. Kurt Teege, *14.06.12 in Halle; Todes-/Vermisstenort: Raum Stalingrad
Vkz. of this a/c was F1+ST per Stankey/deZeng.

sources: VDK; Stankey/deZeng, LW Officers database

regards, T.

Brian and Tomas,

Thanks for the information, it is much appreciated.

Does the fact Millahn and Nentwich survived while the other two are MIA indicate that they bailed out?

Thanks
Jason

PS. Delmenhorst, by "great", I meant I would be grateful to hear more details, expand my knowledge and provide an accurate account in a forthcoming book.
