Luftwaffe airbase Kleinkarolinenfeld

Hi gents,

Concerning this field I'm surprised to not find any unit in the extensive and excellent work made by Henry L. de Zeng here: http://www.ww2.dk/lwairfields.html.

In fact this field was occupied by (part of) II. and III. Gruppen of JG300 and part of JG53 at least from 20 to 30 April 1945.
JG300 presence is well documented in JY Lorant book T2 and occupy around one third of the whole volume, so I didn't took time to detail exactly the movement.

Note that the one Bücker181 "Bestmann" wearing German black crosses flew over the field three times during this period, on 22, 23 and 24 April. This machine was flown by USAF crew and shot down on 24 April. The discovery of the bodies did confirm German pilots thoughts about that machine.

...

Be good. Franck.
