Good day,

I am trying to figure out if it is the pilot Fw. Ludwig Schmidhuber who is lying in front of his crashed plane (Bf 110 C-6, S9+SP, 2249). I know that it is difficult and maybe impossible to do so from the photographs and also because I have not got any photograph of his bordfunker Ogefr. Robert Kissler for comparison. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts and comments.

The plane crashed on the 27.02.42 near the village Dobraya, 25km West from Mosalsk in Kaluga Oblast, Russia, coordinates 54°25' N 34°35' E.

Are there any information’s available about any soviet airfield’s or strongpoints in the area that could have been the focus of an attack from the 6./ZG 1 on that day?
