JG 54 strength chart

On looking at the strength chart in Prien's JFV series Teil 12/III for JG 54 were the figures listed for the months for the 1st of the month or the end?

If I remember correctly, in the JFV series of books the precise date of every strength report for every Gruppe was given, be it as it may at the beginning, in the middle or at the end of a month.

Apparently all strength reports were given as at the end of the month, except for the first date: 10/02/1943.
