Hello

28/12/1940:

Four claimed Gladiators by 150° Gruppo Autonomo over "Delvinakion"

07/12/1940:

Three Blenheims (including one prob.) claimed shot down (L8455,L8457,L1381)
Someone has it details about these events(claims by Italian pilots involved).
Nothing in the Osprey n°38 and in the now old "Air war for Yugoslavia..... of Shores,Cull,Malizia).

M.llo Bacci (wounded)
Serg. Pacini (shot down and wounded, but returned on the base)
Serg. Mignani (shot down and KIA)

365ª Squadriglia:

Cap. Graffer (shot down and KIA)
Ten. Marchetti
S.ten. Clerici
S.ten. Fatigati
Serg. Zotti (wounded)

I thought it was strange none of these battles were in the Shores/Cull/Malizia book, so if you look at page 44 (dealing with the date 28.11.1940) and page 50 (dealing with the date 7.12.1940) they are both there, at least in my copy!

Since you answered this, is anything known about the individual claims by the Italian pilots, and are the MM numbers known for the losses?

Yes,of course,these battles are in Shores,Cull,Malizia book,but the informations on the italian side is rather fragmentary and for example on 07/12/40,we don't know the italian pilots involved who makes claims.

My remark also applies to the 03/12/40 (two claims),18/12/40(three prob.),26/12/40(one prob. by Luigi Corsini and five others,but who?).....


In general on the British side,it's well documented,somewhat less Greek side and still less italian side.

About this dogfight the claims (4 + 1) are shared by all ten italian pilots.
No, the MM of Fiat CR.42 losses are unknown.
