P/O Bain - Info
At 11am, on Monday the 8th of May 1941, 20 year old New Zealander Sergeant Fredrick Agnew Vance M. Drummond of the Royal Australian Airforce was killed when his Spitfire R6618 of 111 Squadron collided over Maryculter with another Spitfire flown by Pilot Officer Bain. Bain was badly injured.
Does anybody know any details of P/O Bain, and the A/C serial no R6618 collided with. |

No info on Bain, but Drummond was only 18 I believe when he was killed. His aircraft was R6619 (not R6618) P/O Bain was flying X4931 at the point of impact Source: For your tomorrow by Errol Martyn! B Rgds Stig |
