Ofw. Bernhard Grun
Hi all!
Does anyone have information about Luftwaffe aircraft and personnel loss, where pilot Uffz.-Ofw. Bernhard Grun - Born 1918 - is mentioned? He was killed on June 16, 1944 as pilot of 5./ZG 76. He served with following units while at Luftwaffe: 5/1941-5/1941 – 1.(F)/Erg.Aufkl.Gr. 5/1941-9/1941 – 2.(H)/Aufkl.Gr.14. 9/1941-12/1941 – 1.(F)/Erg.Aufkl.Gr. 2/1942-2/1942 – 1.(F)/Erg.Aufkl.Gr. O.b.d.H. 2/1942-4/1942 – 3.(F)/Aufkl.Gr.11. 4/1942-8/1943 – 3.(H)/Aufkl.Gr.11. 8/1943-1/1944 – 5./ZG 76. 1/1944-4/1944 – 1./Erg.Zerst.Gr. 4/1944-5/1944 – Erg.-Staffel/ZG 76. 5/1944-6/1944 – 5./ZG 76. On June 16, 1942 he was awarded by Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Schwarz, which was given to soldier after recovery from combat wounds. TIA. Boris PS: He was Grun, not Grün! |

Re: Ofw. Bernhard Grun
Hi!
I would like to thank you both for the information, although these were already known to me. I was fortunate to study personal files in BA-MA (he is listed everywhere as Bernhard) so I have quite nice information about his military service. But about his air service there was not much... Regards Boris. |
