please help : Werk Nummer on a Fw190
 

Hello,
I would like to know where we can find the Werk Nummer on a Fw 190 A8.
A friend of me have find a Fw 190 near Lisieux in Normandy, and we have lot of piece of a plane which say that it can be a Fw 190 A8 (a radio FuG16ZY, 2 MG 13 mm and 2 MG 20mm have been find, etc...).
Lot of piece of the fuselage give serial number beginning with 9 810......, lot of instruments beginning with FL 20...AND we have lot of piece where we can read "Klatte Huchting"
Is it possible, if we could not find the Werk nummer, to identify with the other piece the Manufacture, and so maybe the first two numbers of the Werk nummer, and finally maybe the name of the pilot who was still in the plane...?

I would guess that You have found the remains of an FW 190F-8 in the 981xxx series.

Identification of Fw 190 Remains
 

Andreas, two questions arise with your suggestion that Fw 190 remains found in France were those of a
Fw 190F-8. First, would a F-8 subtype have been fitted with the FuG 16ZY equipment? It is my understanding that the FuG 16ZY was an electronics fit intended for air defense (RVT) operations. Second, I'm under the impression that very few, if any, Fw 190F-8s were stationed in France or were destroyed there.

More information : I bring you more precision about 5 pieces of metal I have just under my eyes . We can read letters and numbers :
“ 9-801.822-705.?? T.a.e “
“ 9-801.822-710.11 T.a.e”
“ 9 801.420 710 11”
“ Klatte Huchting 9-801.822-782.14”
“Klatte Huchting 9.801.824 894.14”

I think these numbers were used in the Manufacture for assemble the plane. But, can these numbers help me to identify the manufacture?

Hello Fredo!
The parts belong to the BMW 801 engine of the aircraft.
Parts beginning with 8 are parts of an aircraft.
Parts with 9 belongs to engines.
801 is the RLM number BMW 801.
Experts may find, which version of it.

..........and when i search on the web "Klatte Huchting", it say that there was a firm call Huchting in the aviation's manufacture Klatte in BREMEN;
Could it be possible that "my plane" come from the Focke Wulf manufactured of Bremen in Germany ? (manufactured code "gwy")

Hi.

The additional information makes it of course clear that the 981 has nothing to do with the aircraft itself.

Avoiding the obvious (parts starting with 8 or 8- ) I made a shortcut.

However, F-8's were used both in training units and in units initially equipped with A-8's, and thus could have been lost in France... but of course the chances are much higher that it is an A-8.

Fw 190 F-8?
 

A listing of FW aircraft types published about August 1944--I haven't found a title for this sucker yet--and a translation of a later listing, Report No. F-TS-406-RE of 10 Sep 45 by the boys at Wright Field, note that the Fw 190 F-8 was fitted with the FuG 16ZY (without the Y arrangement), until April 1944; and, with the FuG 16ZS beginning April 1944. Arado began making them in March 1944 in one sentence, and "about June" in a prior sentence; and NDW began producing them in April 1944 (apparently).
