Radio call signs Ninth Air Force

I have been unsuccessful finding the radio call signs for a few Ninth Air Force fighter units. Would anyone have details for the following: 22nd and 23rd Fighter Squadrons of the 36th Fighter Group. At one point the 23rd used Vibrate, but both squadrons should have at least two, same for the 494th Fighter Squadron, 48th Fighter Group (used Richmond for one), the 410th Fighter Squadron, 373rd Fighter Group (used Gaysong for a period) as well as Headquarters of the 373rd (Roland). I have been through all of these unit records, Missing Aircrew Reports, combat reports and other documents at NARA II and Maxwell Field, Alabama. Thank you.

Hi Kent,

Here is the information for the 373rd Fighter Group.

“Blotto” was the group call sign upon arrival. It was composed of three squadrons: The 410th (R-3, call sign “Gaysong),” the 411th (U-9, call sign “Butcher”) and the 412th (V-5, call sign “Turmoil”).

More later as time permits.

Best,
Ed
