Sgt William Dunn KIA 10/12/41
A relative of Sgt William Dunn (987476) has asked me to look into the circumstances of his death on 10/12/41 whilst he was at No.13 OTU.
Would anybody have any clues on how to find out information about the crash, perhaps a combination of the following: No. 13 OTU base records books? Accident Investigation report? Any help would be greatly appreciated! |
Re: Sgt William Dunn KIA 10/12/41
Sgt William Dunn was one of the three crew of he Blenheim IV L9383 of 13 OTU RAF that took off from Bicester for a training sortie at 1130 hrs on 10 December 1941. The starboard engine cut at 50 feet during the take off and the bomber crashed and burst into flames. All three crew were killed: Flt Sgt G H Schrader RCAF (pilot), Sgt A W Steadman and Sgt William Dunn.
