Does anyone have information on how Bungert was lost on 17 August 1943? He was escorting Ju-88s and was lost around Izyum, Ukraine while fighting Yak-1s and la-5s.

17.8. 3./JG 52 Bordwaffenbeschuss, 5-6 km östlich Kamenka, Pl.Qu. 35 Ost/70764
Bf 109 G-6 15571 gelbe 9 100% Fw Udo Bungert tot.
