Identification Bf110 G9+G(?) with seven Abschüsse symbols?

Dear all,

Who can identify a Nachtjagd Bf110 coded G9+G(?) recently sold on Ebay, the rudder of the a/c shows seven Abschüsse symbols, the first one for a Polish aircraft shot down, then two Dutch aircraft, and finally four British aircraft. Regrettably, no dates are given with these Abschussbalken.

Cheers and thanks for any pointer, Theo

Hi Michel -could well be! At present though I have no documentary evidence that could confirm two Abschüsse by Viktor Mölders over Dutch aircraft during the short Dutch campaign of 10-14 May 1940, hopefully other members can comment on that!

Cheers, Theo

There's been some discussion over here as well some time ago. Maybe this helps: http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showth...ktor+M%F6lders

But why are the so-called Dutch claims marked with a Dutch triangle placed upside-down..? That doesn't make sense to me.

His previous aircraft:

Seems he favoured G letter :) Like W.Falck.

Thanks chaps for providing the definitive identification of this aircraft. Two last questions: what was the code for Viktor Mölders aircraft in 1./NJG1 (G9+GH?), and is the right spelling of his first name Viktor or Victor?

Best regards, Theo
