16/5/40 - Wellington, RAF Dyce

Looking for the first names of RAF Flt Sgt R Clark, (Observer), RAAF FO J.D.Heath, (SE Operator) , RAF Flt Sgt C. J. Borner, (WT Operator) and RAF WO W. Teague, (Str/AG) Who were in a crash

On Wednesday the 16th of May 1945 at 1940 hours, an aircraft collided into a goods wagon on the Aberdeen to Inverness railway line.

Flight Sergeant Edward Wood of the RAFVR, and Flight Lieutenant Curtis Warren Wheelock of the Royal Australian Air Force were killed.

This has certainly been covered here or on another forum. What is the aircraft serial number?

Have you read Wheelocks A705 file at Australian NA

Re: 16/5/40 - Wellington, RAF Dyce

Got James Dalton Heath

Can anybody help with RAF names, I don't have access to AIR78.

Also note I got date wrong 16/5/45 it was not 1940 (that was the time)

It also appears the aircraft was based at RAF Fraserburgh is an ASR role. 279 Squadron and was using RAF Dyce as an Exercise.
