Did the C normally have a clipped wing? These ones do look as though the wing tips have been removed at a panel line rather than having any aerodynamically-shaped tip fairing, which would usually be needed.

Yers, clipped wings on the C-1. Interestingly, I do not see an arrester hook on either of them. Most likely after converted back to B status, and hence the differing markings.

I do see hook, in front of tailwheel. Especially that s18.postimg... image.
