A KG 28 loss Nov. 27, 1941
 

Hello,
This is maybe the strangest of questions, I've ever had to ask your assistance about.
On the above date a He 111 H-5, Wnr. 3960 and 1T+GK from KG 28 crashed for unknown reasons on the eastern front.
In GQM the loss is mentioned on Dec. 13. 1942 page 3.
I cannot read the long surname of the BM, first name is Karl.

Can anyone tell me this name please?

Hello Christian,

in the Gen.Qu. loss report from 13 December 1941 is listed "Bm Ofw Karl Schratzensteller vermisst".
In the correctioin from 3 January 1942 , f) is noticed "Ofw Schratzenzeller unverletzt zurück".

I have the Logbook of Gfr. Spahr and would like to "complete" the cirkle with the full names of the rest of the crew as well.

the complete crew according to the loss report from 13 December 1941 No. 29:
F Lt Martin Ebert vermisst
Bo Gefr Wolfgang Spahrl vermisst
Bf Uffz Werner Öser vermisst
Bm Ofw Karl Schratzensteller vermisst.

Correction from 3 January 1942 f):
Gefr Spahel gefallen, Ofw Schratzenzeller unverletzt zurück. Streiche: 2 Vermisste. Setze: 1 Toten.

Interesting are the diverging spellings Spahrl/Spahel and Schratzensteller/Schratzenzeller. Clarity could bring the NVM.
