Unkown Knight's Cross Recipient
1 Attachment(s)
Hi Everyone,
Can anyone identify this Knight's Cross Recipient from this war time signed photograph. I have had this for many years and believe, if I can remember correctly, he was killed toward the end of the war. I am looking to sell the item from my private collection. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance, David |
Re: Unkown Knight's Cross Recipient
I have just checked my records, is this pilot Gunter Specht of ZG 26 and JG 11? Many thanks in advance,
David |
Re: Unkown Knight's Cross Recipient
He had lost his right eye & the photos I have do not match at all

Re: Unkown Knight's Cross Recipient
It is definitely not Specht. He's a full colonel, so that's a good starting point.

Re: Unkown Knight's Cross Recipient
It can be a Fallschirmjäger or even a Flak Commander. Sadly no badge shown on the left breast pocket..so we can not have an idea of his Branch Service.

Re: Unkown Knight's Cross Recipient
Waffenfarbe would seem to indicate flying personnel

I think its Torsten Christ. Check the autograph on the photo with the dog at the bottom.

Re: Unkown Knight's Cross Recipient
Hi Richey,
Thank you very much for the effort. The signature is an absolute match as is the facial resemblance. Thank you to everyone else for their input. I can now sell it knowing who it is. Many thanks David |
