BREUER Wilhelm (JG 54) victories ?
 

Hi,

Concerning this pilot I have got only 3 victories. But it seems a total group of 4 kills :

1- 23.06.1941. SB-3 / Stab. I/ JG 54.
2- 06.07.1941. SB-3 / 1/JG 54.
3- 23.06.1942. SB-3 / 1/JG54.

Please would you be so kind as to confirm / complete / change this list ?

Hello Philippe,

in the "Luftwaffe Kracker Archive" are noted five victories:
1 28 May 1940 Spitfire W Dunkirk
2 4 Sept 1940 Spitfire S Hythe
3 23 June 1941 SB-3
4 6 July 1941 SB-3
5 23 June 1942 SB-3.

In the JFV Volumes 3, 4/II and 6/II four claims are listed :
1 28 May 1940 3./JG 54 Curtis west of Dunkirk, claim not confirmed
2 4 Sept 1940 Stab I./JG 54 Spitfire south of Hythe, claim not confirmed
3 23 June 1941 Stab I./JG 54 SB-2, claim confirmed
4 6 July 1941 1./JG 54 SB-3, claim confirmed.
No entry for 23 June 1942.

He is not listed in Luftwaffe Aces Biographies and Victory claims part 1, by Mathews and Foreman.

All your contribution are very helpfull ! Thank you very much indeed ! I do appreciate. Please is it possible the official list of victories of a fighter pilot could change ? Or did all lists compiled during wartime will never change ?

Hi Guys

Totals for pilots vary because of several things, some included unconfirmed in their total, others a confusion with the points system, some are quoted from other pilots.......and not always correct, other taken from abschuße bords(these include unconfirmed), a few pilots exaggerated !

I have compiled a list of "ALL" Luftwaffe pilots who made a least one "confirmed" claim by official sources, if anybody would like a copy drop me your e.mail address, or even better if anybody can link TOCH to it even better.

I have a comment in my notes against 23 June 1942 which says (error duplicated, see 23. 6.41 - not Ace)
