Black Thursday Losses 14 Oct 1943 Help Needed
 

Would like to try to get an i.d. on the B-17 lost to Fw Karl Brandl's Me-110 of ZG-76 on the Schweinfurt mission. His Log Book shows"1 B-17 Fortress II shot down at Marktheidenfeld NE of Wertheim - crash near Glashofen". Luftwaffe Victory claims show "14.10.43 Fw Brandl: i.Zus.Wirk.6./ZG 76 - B-17 -Florsheim: 7.600 m - 14.40(hrs) Film C.2031/II Anerk. Nr.60".

Hoping with information an i.d can be made on the details of this B-17. Any help will be gratefully appreciated. Thanks Bob Gill - Texas USA
