That day was VIII Bomber Command Mission 198. Aimed at Frankfurt and Ludwigshaven. The JG's 2, 3, 26, 27 came in action as well as NJG6.
I have their claims, but don't know their losses. The USAAF claims 75 by air gunners and 47 by fighters. But how reliable are those figures, in order words what were the real losses?

Hi Cees,

the source of my overview is JFV Vol. 13/I (Reichsverteidigung 1944), not Vol. 10/I (Reichsverteidigung 1943), sorry.
