Hello all;

What Remi is asking for is what the initials ´RW´ stands for? ´RW 8´ (painted on rudder) is known with IV/KG 200 in Denmark 1945. I belive these were ´old´Ju 88 G-1 Mistel (trainer?) conversions done at Leipzig in 1944/1945.

Known example is from other source :
Einflug at Bernburg 29.01.45 [rep as Ju 88 G1 714050 RW86 in logbook]

These extend into four digits: f.e. RW 0028 on Ju 88 714258

cheers

Dear Remi, dear Ed,

I found some informations about the initials "RW". It stands for
"Reparaturwerkstatt". Junkers repaired in a first step 75 Ju 88 in
Leipzig-Mockau. They did some conversion work too. Later in
Nordhausen the Ju 88 were completed. I think now we can speak
about "Mistel" constructions. In Leipzig or in Nordhausen the RW
numbers were painted on the rudder. They mark the old Ju 88 and
I guess that the codes started with 0001 up to 0XXX.
Later "Mistel" constructions were build in Merseburg too but I think
that the RW numbers were only used in Leipzig/Nordhausen.
I don't know something about "RW" numbers in Merseburg

I hope that's not wrong what I say. Maybe some other members
of this board can help a little bid more?

Greetings to all,
Sven.
