Loss of Major Dudeck, III./TG 2
Major Gerhard Dudeck, Kommandeur III./TG 2, his plane crashed on 04.11.44 (4th November) and he was captured by british troops and became a POW until Aug 1947.

According to Luftwaffe Officer Career Summaries -
04.11.44 Maj., Gruppenkommandeur and flying as observer in 7./TG 2 Ju 52 (8T+PR) that force landed near Vanista/Greece after getting lost and running out of fuel while evacuating wounded from Macedonia; POW uninjured. Peter |

Ju 52 WNr. 641401, correct location was Vanitsa/Greece.

Correction: The plain force landed near Jannitsa (not Vanitsa), as Remi wrote, 50 km NW of Salonika. The crew was:
