First puzzle post drew a blank; anyone recognise these, probably same aircraft

Hi Chris

Why do you put the pictures reverse ? The MG in the windscreen belongs on the right side.

Missed that-these were as I found them and I believe came from the late Manfred Griehl

Re: Do 17 Crash Puzzles 2

Hello,

I may be wrong, but on the first Picture, the amount of hits on a very small área of the cockpit do suggest maybe:
a) A damage caused by flak from below or the right side (maybe the Do 17 was on a low level recon or bombing action) or;
b) the aircraft belly landed for an unknown reason on the "No man's land" and was submitted to small arms fire.

I guess I can see a hit on the propeller that stands vertical, but I may be wrong.

Without a probable date or location it probably will be very difficult to match, since there is no other clue visible (werknummer, markings, squadron badge, etc.)
