Bf109D WNr.492 "Schlachtfl. Ausb.-Geschwader" (?)
Hi Guys,
On 28 October 1942 a Bf109D WNr.492 was accidented at Bermericourt. Unit said to be "Schlachtfl. Ausb.-Geschwader". ... What is this unit? When and where was it created? Thanks to any comment to help me to clear this. Regards, Franck. |

Re: Bf109D WNr.492 "Schlachtfl. Ausb.-Geschwader" (?)
Hi Friends,
Sorry Sinisa but SG101, or Schl.G 101 if you want, wasn't created before 01/02/1943. Thanks very much Larry at last the answer I was expecting!... And shame on me since I have the book of Carlsen & Meyer. :) Anyway, it's a good opportunity to have an interesting conversation. I didn't lose my time with that question. Cheers, Franck. |
Re: Bf109D WNr.492 "Schlachtfl. Ausb.-Geschwader" (?)
Yes, Franck, I quoted the available info on the subject. However, Larry's e-mail was very clear in that respect.
Good to hear from you. Regards, Sinisa |

Quote:
In fact it does exist two versions (why? we don't know): the one given by Georg Morisson who did quote "Schlachtfl. Ausb.-Geschwader" according his last comment concerning this accident. And the one given by Michael Balss who did quote "Schl.G 101". ... Indeed with the same GQM reference :) This last wasn't acceptable for me since, again, it didn't exist at that time as commented above. Cheers, Franck. |
