Major Mayer Egon JG2 claim

Hello ,

On november 5 1943 Major Mayer Egon from Stab JG 2 shot down a P-47 near Alken south of Hasselt in Belgium . Source C.2031/II Anerk: Nr.120
Is there someone who knows something more about the P-47 ?

Hi ,

very probably 353 FG P-47 (3 P-47 losses to german fighters in the same area and time of Major Egon Mayer claims), my guess Capt. Orville Kinkade POW P-47C-5 41-6583 near Volkerak , but some overclaim on this date against P-47
