Circumstances of death in action of Hptm. Walter Fenske 3./NJG10 26.3.1944?

Dear all,

I am looking for additional info with regard to the circumstances of the death in action of Hptm. Walter Fenske of 3./NJG10 on 26 March 1944. His Bf110 G-4 crashed at Brodenbach. Was he shot down in air combat during a daylight sortie?

Cheers, Theo

As there was a Techn.Inspektor on board, I would assume they were not shot down on a mission.

Kracker, as good as it is, does make many incorrect assumptions

On 26-Mar-44 there were two losses for NJGr. 10. The information is from the summary losses document RL 2 III / 855
03-04-44 (20) This one was with enemy orders but without enemy action 100%.
13-05-44 (1) This one was listed as missing while on an enemy mission, crew missing as well.

Regards,
Norbert
