Hello,

Who can help me whit info about Charles A Appel 405 FG
He flew P-47 44-19793 and crashed on 11-17-1944.
Where crashed he ?

I have that the 405FG were supporting the 6th Armoured Division in the vicinity of Bruhange. They flew 86 sortie and close to 100 transports were destroyed. Major Charles Appel hit by flak and forced to bail out. He became a POW

He bailed out of his damaged P-47 hit while straffing germans troops and was made POW
Supposed Crashed at Berthelming (F-57930) Moselle
