Battle of Britain Pole, shot down over Hampshire

I am trying to help someone else out with the details of a Polish Hurricane pilot shot down during 1940, so i assume the Battle of Britain.
He landed near Alton, in Hampshire having baled out.
I know 238 flying Hurricanes covered this region so possibly a 238 Pole?

All help appreciated.

If you come from the Alton area, this could be the crash of Plt Off George Forrester on 9 Sep 40. For many years, the local rumour was he was Polish

Hello all.

Back to square one i am afraid, the pilot survived being shot down and became friends with a local farmer who helped him after his bale out.

Any other ideas on Poles or other non British pilots RAF shot down in this area during 1940 ?
