Two 248 Sqn losses on 20 December 1942

On 20 December 1942 Oblt Bruno Stolle of 8./JG 2 claimed two Bostons shot down at 1032 and 1036 hrs off Britanny, just above the sea.

AFAIK no Boston was lost that day in this area, but 4 men of 248 Sqn are commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial, so Stolle could have actually shot down two Beaufighters.

Can someone confirm these two losses (with the serials and the crew for each if available) were due to German fighters in this area ? Thanks in advance

This has been asked before and I think I answered then.
EL437/WR-U (Billing & Fawcett)
EL407/WR-K (Sharpe & Fowler)

Thanks Chris, a search with the serial effectively retrieved a query done on May 2018, to which you answered, but my previous search did not find it, as I used December 1942 while there is not the word December in the thread.

By the way you just gave the pilots in the other thread, so information is now more complete.

Thanks a lot
