Hptm. Günther Erbs, 3/ KG 6
 

On January 17th 1943 the Ju 88 A-14, 3E+ML, WNr. 144352 of Hptm Günther Erbs, 3/ KG 6 was shot down by a nightfighter northwest of Poix. I’m trying to find if there are any claims for the area? Other crews mention several intruders operating over there.

Nothing I can see for 16-17 or 17-18 Jan 43. All claims were over UK. Loss was stated as being possibly caused by night fighter

there is an origian report from the french gendarmerie about it

"le 17/01/1943, vers 21h00, un avion allemand s'est écrasé au sol dans un pâturage au lieu dit "Chemin de St Maulvis", territoire de la commune de FRETTECUISSE, à 300m S.E de cette localité.
"
