Series of three photos of a crash landed 74 Sq. Spitfire I Code letter ZP-D.
Can anyone identify There was a listing of shot down 74 Sq on this board years ago, I'll see if I can link it.

on tho slink, there is visible "sky band" marking - so the date is after 11/1940 if I remember correctly.

So it fit (and serial number is visible), that this machine is Spitfire Mk. Vb W3208, which was lost 6.7.1941:

Just a comment - it's clear he crash landed on land, so why is he a Runnymede commemoration? Even if dead in the cockpit, I'd have expected a known burial?
