A ?? RE: the meaning of pilot's nicknames...

Guys:

Some of the better known JW aces had nicknames...some I know:
Erich Hartmann was called 'Bubi'(boy or kiddo) because of his youth, Robert Weiss was called 'Bazi' (which someone translated as 'Rascal') but I have a couple more that I have questions about:

Wilhelm-Ferdinand 'Wutz' Galland;
Emil 'Bully' Lang;

So guys, what do these nicknames mean, if you were to translate them, approximately?

thanks, ahead of time

Nick,

almost every Lw fighter pilot had a "nickname" or "call name".

'Wutz' is a dialectal word for 'pig' in German, even 'Peppa Pig' is called 'Peppa Wutz' in German translation. Apparently, he was given this nickname by his mother when he was a child (see the Wikipedia article for Adolf Galland). Maybe he was plump as a child...?

As for Emil 'Bully' Lang, his was thought to resemble a bulldog with his muscular chest.
