83rd FS, 78th FG vs 9./JG 54 on 15 October 1944
 

Hello,

On 15 October 1944, the 83rd FS or 78th FG engaged a group of Bf 109 and Fw 190 NE of Osnabruck and destroyed without loss 6 Fw 190 D-9 of 9./JG 54.

The American side of the story is described in the book "Eagles of Duxford" (according to my research, I have not the book yet) and I am searching if the German side is also described in a book, as I know that several describe the use of Fw 190 D-9 by the III./JG 54.

This combat is described in Green Hearts First in combat with the Dora 9 by Axel Urbanke pages 40-43 and loss table pages 313-314 (six D-9 lost)
