Hello,

Recently I had the opportunity to purchase a copy of Alexander Steenbeck's Die Spur des Loewen from a deceased estate. I think I will take up the option. Can someone tell me what they would consider a fair price for a copy of this book. It is in very good condition. Can't seem to find a copy for sale at the moment.

Any information appreciated.

Thanks for that. It works out at AUS$535.00 approx. plus postage plus 10% AUSGSTax. So quite expensive. Can anyone suggest what would be a fair offer for a copy of the book?

FWIW, I bought this book for 75 euros directly from the publisher when it was released.

Since the book now seems to be a rarity, perhaps something like EUR 50 - 100 would be a fair price. The asking price by Amazon is not realistic, if you ask me, and to be honest the book is not worth that much.

Your kind offer is most considerate. But like you, I would never be happy with having part of a book. Apart from that, I would look on it as an investment.

I will soon find out. I am seeing the person again on 25th April (Anzac Day), and I will offer him what I think is a fair price (AUS$300.00, approx EURO 190.00), without the nasty extras.

Now to wait and see what happens!
