From Nick Beale's article "Kommandos Götz, Sperling, Hecht and 1.(F)/123" in the file "Luftwaffe Reconnaissance" in his Ghostbombers site, it appears that while with Kommando Sperling, Muffey had his own aircraft, Arado Ar 234 B-2/b 140349 T9+KH.

Would Muffey have had his own personal Arado while with 1.(F)/123?

best regards,

Jim

I'd have my doubts about that. As I wrote on my website re the end of March:
While 1.(F)/123 still had 13 (12) pilots on the 27th, it was now down to five aircraft: E, G, H, I and M (the last two of these being unserviceable).
If they had four times as many operational pilots as serviceable aircraft, there was probably some sharing going on.
