KC winner Franz Schiess or.....???
 

Hello,
I have a little unusual question.

I got this small lot, please see the picture, but not a lot of it makes any sense to me.

The picture is a deathcard with a religious motive on the back, but no names are mentioned.
The small paper note is from October 19. saying that KC winner Franz Schiess failed to return from a mission.

I have compared the picture with others of Schiess, but cannot decide whether this is him on the death card.

What do you think?

the deathcard shows an leutnant ...

it is difficult to say it’s schieß (schiess) ...
maybe used an old picture?

I was thinking like you, could be an older picture from when he was a Ln.
