Flugplatz name

Dear All,

Could someone please decipher the name of the airfield? I suspect that this is an airstrip located on the German-Polish border used briefly by a 4. Luftflotte fighter unit in preparation for the Polenfeldzug.

Regards,
Sinisa

Hello,

Given the geographical location/time period, a possibility:

Luftflotte 4 - Flugplatz Neuruppin - Stab/KGzbv 2 - 01/09/1939.

Very funny. I reported the post, and I expect that it will be removed at the earliest.

Who are you, btw? Do I know you? Why such idiotic post?

I may be wrong but I saw the post as a comment on the vendor who thought it was worth copy-protecting two words in pencil, not on anything you did.

Hi Gents,

I totally agree with Sinisa.
Bronzaconk is not correct and does what he uses to do in this forum; almost insulting people (archeology topics mainly).
So yes, I think Sinisa did good reporting this post since it's time to stop that behavior.
...
As for who don't know where to read I did put the same picture underlining the name Sinisa is looking for. Hope it helps.

Regards,
Franck.

Nick,

Thank you for your prompt response to my report. Not very auspicious start of the day for me.

Firstly, a copy of the photo that started this thread was taken from an ongoing eBay auction. The link was given by Franck, but I will repeat it here for completeness... https://www.ebay.de/itm/Foto-Luftwaf...YAAOSwnaJdGQ8W If it is felt that I have violated the TOCH's policies, I agree that my post be deleted.

Secondly, am I supposed to tolerate insults on this forum? I quote: "... was an airfield located halfway between Howestuupid and Kanthatbe." I thought that these kind of posts were unacceptable on this forum? But then, I may have got it all wrong.

I reiterate that I do not know who this Broncazonk character is, what his motivations or purposes may be, but I do want his post removed.

Regards,
Sinisa

Why does so much here have to be turned into a fight? I'm heartily sick of it. Even when people are being needlessly provocative, sometimes it's just best to ignore it: it's usually trivial, it passes and is forgotten. Also, none of it answers the original question.

The vendor put those copy-protection marks on the reverse of the photo and, while it's no doubt their standard procedure, it does look likeoverkill in this case.

So, trying to do something constructive instead, here's those two words after a bit of Photoshop adjustment, just in case that helps.

Also, it might be worth looking through the extensive TSAMO website material on the Polish campaign for clues to places that Stab II./JG 77 was based.

Everyone involved, back on topic please.
