Staff Sergeant Stanley A Shepherd
Presumably a soldier from the Glider Regiment? Murdered by German soldiers in 1945. He had been flying a Tempest when shot down by Dortenmann of JG26 in 1945. Can anyone tell me more of this pilot?

Re: Staff Sergeant Stanley A Shepherd
Just saw something in my initial query that I missed. He was not a Staff Sergeant which was the reason it gained my attention. The text is American and therefore RAF Sergeant is an equivalent of Staff Sergeant in US Army terms. An american Sergeant is the equivalent of a British corporal in Army terms.
