The Airmens Association, and especially our JG. 27/26 veterans organization mourn our very dear friend. Yearly by us as a family member at our reunions, he was strongly involved in clearing mia cases, often initiating meetings and commemorations in Belgium, Holland and Germany and Austria.
At the International conventions always a moving speaker and active participant.
Truly a friend of the well known and the obscure. Personally arranging outings with our members, especially Otto Wernik of JG. 11's reuniting with the Belgian family who treated him after being shot down in 1944 decades later, only one example.
A true gentleman, and highly respected scientist and lecturer in civil life.
