HORBACZEWSKI at 2 BGS and 18 OTU

2 Bombing and Gunnery School RAF Millom, operated Blackburn Botha and Fairey Battles, while 18 (Bomber) OTU operated the Battle and the Wellington Ic. The former unit operated from January 1941 and Horbaczewski had moved to 58 (Fighter) OTU by July 1941. Can anyone tell me when he was at 2 BGS and 18 OTU?

Keith, according to 18 OTU documents, Horbaczewski arrived to Bramcote from Millom on 15.07.1941 in order to leave for 58 OTU at Grangemouth three days later.

Many thanks Greg, that puts his stint at 2 BGS c.February-July 1941. 2 BGS was in the process of changing both it's purpose and equipment by June 1941, the Blackburn Botha having proved very unreliable. It sounds like he didn't get time to unpack his bags never mind fly a training sortie before he moved from 18 to 58 OTU :)
