Spitfire downed in Belgium May 1940?
 
Looking for the identity of a downed Spitfire near Moeskroen, Belgium, somewhere in May 1940....

Alain,

If it was Coleman's (not Colman) Spitfire, then it was P9307 and not P9380.
PR mission to Hamburg.

Latter Spitfire was only written off in 1944 after belly landing in England.

P/O Coleman PDU was flying Spitfire I (PR) Type D (P9308)

P9307 (a Spitfire I (PR) Type C) was lost 10Apr41. Pilot F/O L.D. Loasby 1 PRU (MIA)
