The abbreviation
In the document I found the name of the pilot in this form.
L.W. W.Ratt SS Fr.d.Does anyone know what means an abbreviations Fr.d. ? L.W. is Luftwaffe of course. SS is as well clear, but what is it Fr.d? |
Re: The abbreviation
Hello Peter
A possibility could be "Freiwilligen Division". Regards from France |

Re: The abbreviation
This is a Slovak postwar doccument, but undoubtedly writen according to German, or Slovak war doccuments. This pilot supported SS Schill unit in its attack against Slovak uprisers and was shot down.
