Airmen Died in the Second World War DVD-ROM
Chris Hobson has produced a new necrology for the RAF and Commonwealth Air Forces of WW2, published by Naval and Military Press. The DVD can be found with a nice "early bird price" at:
https://www.naval-military-press.com...eid=f9019f7bbf They note that the DVD needs Windows 10 and is not Mac or Linux compatible. For those who still have some shelf space available, there is the ten volume soft-bound set of 9367 pages, also discounted for a while, at https://www.naval-military-press.com...-air-services/ Enjoy! Would you still say it is useful for someone not having the individuals as his primary interest? Is the CD searchable with regard to dates, aircraft types and serial numbers? If it is then I will consider buying it, if not, it then becomes a more or less useless tool for me, sorry to say. Cheers Stig |
Re: Airmen Died in the Second World War DVD-ROM
Stig,
Check the first link in my post. It lists the data fields (which includes the ones you asked about), and says that they are all searchable. I don't have the DVD yet, so I can't say whether you can search multiple fields at the same time, or whether you can wild card the search fields. Enjoy! Frank. |
Re: Airmen Died in the Second World War DVD-ROM
If so Frank, it certainly wood be a very useful tool indeed
