Me 262 captured at München-Oberwiesenfeld?
Good afternoon,
http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/album....&pictureid=657 Compare this photo to that in Rudi's post # 2401 in Snautzer's thread "eBAy: Captured german planes": http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/album....&pictureid=658 My questions: 1. Is the 109 in the photos above the same 109 that Franck, in post # 2407 of the same thread, identifies as "G-6, for sure shot at München-Oberwiesenfeld, part of Stkz: 'E'."? 2. If so, does anyone know the identity of the Me 262 behind the Dornier? Thank you, Jim |

Re: Me 262 captured at München-Oberwiesenfeld?
Good eye, Christian.
The Me 262 in the first picture of my first post has a whitened nose cone with a hole, the entire port engine nacelle is missing, the starboard engine nacelle is hanging down, the missing nose wheel gives a downward slant to the nose and it is beside a Dornier which exactly matches your second photo. Thank you also for confirming the location is Oberwiesenfeld, not Straubling, per your caption for your second photo. Marc-Andre Haldimann in post #2409 of Snautzer's thread concurs. Here is a thread on the TS+MB codes: forum.12oclockhigh.net/showthread.php?t=43198 Thank you, again. Jim p.s.: My apologies, Christian. You deserved the credit for the photographs. |
