I am, for one, really looking forward to reading this book.

I'm curious what new information/photos could the authors unearth, noting that Hans-Jürgen Becker authored aviation-related books mostly dealign with modern fighter jets, airships, seaplanes, amphibious vehicles, the Concorde, NASA, etc. [and another one on the Bf 109, published in 1996]

Just for an update, got information that some unpublished photos will be shown in the book plus some good color profiles.

I have bought this book about a week ago and have to say, that I do like it very much :)
the profiles are not top notch, those found in the recent JaPo volume on the Dora series or the ones from the Jagdwaffe series are much better IMHO.
but the book itself is a good addition to any LW collection;

it gives a good overview of those other users of the 109 including Czech built Avias and Spanish built Buchons;

the text is well researched and written in a good style, and it seems the editor did his job this time - I have spotted no grammar or spelling mistakes so far;
a good change from the recent Manfred Griehl books, which were full of such errors;

overall, I would give it a 8 out of 10, a good book which forms a good basis for further reading-the sources provided on the last pages point to further books, if one is interested :)

unfortunately I disagree.

IMHO this book is an simply translation/summary of websites (for example: chapter Israel) or books. Many captions are wrong. So they aren't able to differ an G - 6 from G - 12 or an G - 10 from G - 14 (chapter Italy), they used the outdated version "G - 10/AS" (chapter Italy), the Croatian G - 14/AS is an "G - 10", the Slovakian markings are "Balkenkreuze", the "French markings" in her book are real British markings (the well known AE ...) and the best: the chapter Poland --- they didn't cognize that the Polish "Bf 109G" was the Croatian "black 4".

This from a fast overview in my bookstore. I think there are much more mistakes. So I didn't buy it ... 30 € are too much for this book IMHO.

as I am not that big an expert on 109G variants, I cannot confirm your most on your findings-but a closer look revealed that you are right with the G6-G12 error in the Italy section;
you also correctly identified the miscaptioned French 109 which sports English markings in fact.
other than that I browsed thru the book only shortly and did not read it thorougly yet, but still I do like it, as it gives an overview of those other 109 users and thats what I bought the book for.
of course, there are other books that do deal with coverd topics more thorougly, I think about Finnish and Hungarian use alone, one could write very big books, but given the limited space and the scope of the book, I still think it is not that bad for the money :) - for 30 bucks you can get much worse books :)
and so far I still have not found any spelling errors ;)
